Maybe a noob comment here, but could you show how you got that list that shows total-graded across all the grading companies (for the Brady)?? And then how did you get all the Shaq, Steph, Giannis & Wemby cards-graded totals in order like that too?? 😅 super awesome tools, and would love to know how to do searches like that. Thanks for the video! I owned several of the cards you shown, 15 years ago I ended up in jail for DUI,I wasnt able to pay my storage bill and some lucky person ended up buying the unit. I got 8 unopened boxes & 2 opened .

The person grading your cards must have been tripping on acid or something.

Multiple investors/collectors have been posting the same videos. Send to PSA, get crap grades. Crack and send to SGC and get grades they originally expected. When this is happening across multiple card types and long time collectors it begs a long list of questions about PSA moving forward.

The fact that PSA doesn't allow appeals or challenges shows you that they are purposefully downgrading, forcing you to resubmit. I'd like to see the industry start supporting another grading company that has flat pricing and integrity. WHY would collectors have to pay more for a card with a higher value? Outside of insurance reasons, the process is exactly the same for a PSA 2 and PSA 10+.

PSA does suck so maybe just maybe concentrate on being a collector and then you won't feel the need to spend money with PSA.....

First of all, it's ridiculous that PSA, SGA, etc. don't give explanations across the board. It's such a racket and money scam since it's so subjective to begin with. Every card should be sent back with grader notes for accountability, especially for how much money they are making... sorry for you, this is awful and they should offer you some money back 😡

I agree that the popularity of the "hobby" has grown - specifically for basketball - I think the growth and popularity is more impacyted by the international interest then just the US based folks. Also...PSA has agressivly grown it's non-USA based access to get cards graded. I wish PSA released data on where/what facility cards were being graded. Thanks.

I recently got back into collecting and went through all my old commons boxes. the most valuable card I found (and now I'm gonna throw up in MY mouth a little bit) is the Mark Jackson Hoops cards w/ the idiot brothers on the card. I hate that card. I get it - it is interesting. I even relayed the story to my wife because I had been out of the hobby and had no idea why PSA lists that card w/ an assigned value. but I don't like celebrating something like this as part of our hobby. I also have no interest in owning any OJ cards. I loved the guy back in the day, but yeah.. don't really need to add more. hate those cards, too. hard pass.

I once had a modern Josh Allen rookie that was literally perfect. Pack fresh. I guessed 10 but maybe 9. It got a 5. I to this day cannot find out why.

Do you think they new people are holding these vintage to modern card standards? You really can’t hold them to the same standard. You almost need someone that has the feel and knowledge of vintage.

Until people stop paying the PSA premium this will continue to happen. You get better consistency with another company but you try to sell it and it sits.

I find there is no consistency in PSA grading. Seen 70/30 centering on front getting a 7.

The junk grading era

I’ve found that about 1 out of every 3 of my PSA subs come back like this. You are 100% correct, this is totally head-scratching that you got a few subs in a row like this. Are you gonna crack & resub? Expensive to do for so many…but selling 3-4s when they should be 6-7s is a huge hit. Sorry man, this sucks😔

How does prestine auction get away with them 10s BCCG. Making 💰. Someone needs to call them out. Some cards are not even 7s

To the Shaq/Wemby comparison: card grading was a new, silly luxury back when Shaq was a rookie, so hardly anyone slabs '92 Shaq rookies back in '92... betting most of the slabs date from well after he's an established, dominant, hall of fame caliber player or possibly even the end of his playing days... collectors or speculators grading Wemby cards now are involved in a very different pursuit and hoping that he becomes an all-time great...

PSA ( cards) CGC (comic books) Until there is a UNIVERSAL grading scale people are going to continue to get cheated & scammed.

A few people have mentioned that the Brady rookie may have been double printed. If this were true would have known about it by now because we would have seen multiple copies of the same serial #. For example, right now there are 19 copies of this card available on eBay - all with clearly visible (and different) serial numbers out of 1250. With this card presumably on eBay constantly, the double printed scenario would have been exposed over a decade ago.

I have not spent one cent on Wemby cards ....why invest when there are so many thousands of his cards

If the grading companies are keeping track of serial numbers it would be great to see how many of the 1250 Brady’s have actually been found and graded
